Base Education and/or Experience Requirements:  Certificate from College or Technical School or 3-6 months related experience and/or training or a combination of both.
Position Summary:
This position assembles machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce a close fit between parts.
Drills, taps, or reams holes.
Aligns components, and bolts and screws, or rivets them together.
Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems.
Aligns and meeshes gears in gearbox to assembly system of gears.
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
Prepares production sheets and other reports, as required.
Ability to read and understand job aids and work instructions.
Keeps all work areas clean and orderly according to 6S standards.
Utilizes pneumatic and hand tools to assist with building product.
Responsible for quality of product and materials on paint line, as required.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings to support production.
Safely handles hanging product and materials on paint line, as required.
Utilizes measurement equipment while building product, as required.
Material handling duties, as required kitting product and transporting materials, etc.
Performs final assembly and testing of product against required specifications.
Keeps their supervisor apprised of issues related to daily performance.
Maintains discipline and a safe working environment.
